Show more » Dear Steve Webb Before the election, half of the British state pensioners who live abroad and who have their pensions frozen were looking forward to you and Nick Clegg tabling an EDM which could lead to the unfreezing of their pensions. Mine was frozen for 13 years while in Australia. Now that you are both in more elevated positions we have not heard mention of unfreezing from either of you. Perhaps I have missed something? In your speech yesterday you said “The state pension must be the foundation on which all other pensions policy is based and we will help ensure this by restoring the link between pensions and earnings.”. Does this mean that you intend to unfreeze pensions as promised, or does it mean that ALL pensions abroad will now be frozen? You reassurance would be welcome! Show less »
