Show more »What are your views about denying pensioners their indexing just because they live in a Commonwealth country (or a motley collection of other countries)? They are not denied cost-of-living indexing if they live in Europe or the USA (or a different motley collection of other countries). I am asking about pensioners who paid their National Insurance dues while working in the UK but had to go abroad on retirement to be near relatives or for some other reason. More often than not there was no choice of country. My own pension was frozen while in Australia with my husband who was working there. Indexed or not, pensioners save the government a great deal if they live outside the UK so why the inequality? It is a crazy rule. Show less »

However, what affect will not having a nuclear arsenal have on our international influence? After all, all members on the UN Security Council are 'nuclear powers', so to speak.
