The public are also hugely against a cull.Labour in government came out against a cull in England. What is your view? Will you stand with those of us who are against a cull of badgers in England and in favour of vaccinating badgers against bovine TB as had been the policy of Hilary Benn when we were in power? The science is unsound, using loaded dice & stats to make meles meles into the farmers traditional scape-goat (or scape-badger).  Using the same arguement of numbers, consider some of DEFRA's own findings 1.4% of an estimated 200 million rattus norwegicus were found to be carriers of bTb (thats potentially millions) versus 4% of 300,000 (estimated) badgers. Do the math !

Blaming anyone other than farmers themselves & modern intensive farming methods is just a ploy to justify the wholesale slaughter of Britains most loved native mammal.

Ernest Neal devised badger proof fencing over 50 yrs ago - but trying to keep rats off farms is surely impossible.

When will common sense prevail ? probably never, not where big money is concerned.

Martin Hancox is recognised as the world's leading authority on bTb, with 40 yrs study on the matter.

Myself, I will continue to educate whoever is looking for the answer as best I can.

there are lies, damned lies & statistics
