Show more »I am a 16 year old full time student, without a part-time job, some of my friends are still 15.  When travelling on the train 15 year olds only have to pay £1.60 whereas I classed as an Adult have to pay £3.20, I am no bigger than my friends, I dont take up more seats, I dont have a job, I can't drive a car so why do I have to pay twice as much.  It would be reasonable if I had a job and was working full time however I am a full time student still.
    I believe an adult ticket should be when you are no longer in full time education.  The goverment is suoposed to be promoting public transport in a time were being green is so important, then why are they charging students like me twice as much as my younger counterparts just because we are a couple of weeks older.
