Show more »Vince Cable’s letter to local authority chief execs and business leaders asks: 1.Business leaders to come together to consider forming local enterprise partnerships 2.It proposes that responsibility for sector leadership, business support, access to finance and inward investment are to be handled nationally – not by local enterprise partnerships The business focus of local enterprise partnerships would appear to be the support of business start-ups, and working with local universities and colleges. Clarity on the following would be useful; 1.Which business leaders (or type) received this letter? 2.Who in business is to be consulted about the type of support BIS intends to provide nationally 3.The type of investors it aims to attract to the UK?
