Afghans and the world are fighting a joint war in Afghanistan and we are talking about winning the hearts and minds of Afghans. Can you please comment if the following might be useful to achieve the heart and mind goal:

    1. Special Work Permits for the Afghan workers in UK, EU and US. (In Afghanistan 1 person works for the bread, butter and mental peace of 10-20 of his/her family members. So, if 50,000 such work permits are issued, it might mean winning the hearts and minds of 0.5-1 million Afghans). This wont cost UK,EU and US much as Afghans could be trained in thier homeland for the jobs that UK, EU or US needs employees for (Again creating further jobs in Afghanistan). Sure, you can carry out all background checks for security.

    2. An Educated Afghanistan is mandatory for a peaceful Afghanistan and it resulting in a strong ally. Can't it be possible to consider the Afghan Students as Home Students in UK, EU and US. This will enable more Afghans to study in these countries and thus get further blendid with the western culture. The long-term results might be very beneficial for UK, EU and US. Show less »
