    What are your views on AV? As a supporter of electoral reform, i am not heavily in favour of it. It seems to be more of a gesture to those who seek reform, rather than real change. It seems to be more of a gesture to those who seek reform, rather than real change. AV is not a proportional system and in many cases could end up extrapolating parties majorities. Furthermore legislation on AV will set back the cause of real electoral reform for another 10-20 years as there will not be much public appetite for it after the referendum either way it goes. Would it not be better to give the country more of a choice on such reform, rather than enforce this lack luster option. Show less »
