There is a large housing stock empty, used as an asset. Houses where a family of 6 lived, left empty (foreign owner) - it is not the supply but the redistribution. Do not sell council houses, they belong to the nation,its citizens,built with privileged financing.Have the courage to be socialist, believe in public service and tax 2nd/ 3rd homes.Go back to fair rent council,make renting secure (look to Germany).Get house prices down and affordable for the younger generation.The buy-to-let market is divisive, breaking up neighbourhoods and making profit from man's need for a roof is morally indefensible. Unacceptable capitalisme.Money should be invested in industry and inventions, not hoarding houses as assets. Try for a happier, more equal society, everybody would be more content. Show less »
