I'm sure I've heard of attempts to amend certain provisions of the Act in the future. Perhaps politicians are always going to be under pressure from the public, and headlines of the day, to try and 'crack down' on certain areas which fall under the Act's provisions (e.g. offenders' rights vs victims' rights).
