Pupils with low income families will be better off in that they will have much lower monthly payments, which will not even start until they earn over £20,000 so the worse off will benefit most. The part time students will also be eligable, which they were not before. SO much fairer.
I do believe students can invest in their own future and although it may put an end ot some degree courses such as some of the more fanciful once that exist it will also mena students have more power as they will be the direct client and will and should be looking at contact time etc. This can lead to all students getting proper and better contact time and experience at Univiersity (some only offer as little as 3 hours a week at present) so that we have a better end product for all.
