Aren't you in danger of telling people what they should have rather than allowing them to have what they want? Do you have any evidence that people generally, and not just Green supporters, actually want to shop in small local shops? My local Waitrose has a fantastic supply of fresh produce - much more than any local shop could stock and shopping there is a pleasure.
